Construction & operating principle
A PTFE capsule integrates membrane and housing into a closed filtration path for compatible liquid or gas service, depending on configuration. Hydrophobic and hydrophilic grades require different preparation and operating conditions. A PTFE membrane does not mean that its housing, seals and supports are all fluoropolymers. For fine chemicals, the complete wetted path and rinse background matter more than the membrane name alone.
